Coronavirus pandemic: Polish authorities impose special “epidemiological threat” via COVID-19 – UNN News

KIEV. March 12. UNN. The situation of the epidemiological threat will be introduced in Poland. This was stated at a press conference on Thursday by the Minister of Health of the Republic Lukash Shumovsky, writes UNN with a reference to the Polish edition of the Gazeta Wyborcza.

According to him, in connection with the announcement of the pandemic, he intends to sign today an order on “introduction of epidemiological threat in Poland”.

According to the Minister, this means that in the new orders, the Minister of Health may partially restrict the movement, temporarily restrict the use of certain products, close establishments and prohibit measures, and may instruct the provision of buildings and territories necessary to combat the epidemic.

Shumovsky also informed that 19 hospitals will be established across the country, intended exclusively for patients infected with coronavirus. At least one such institution will appear in each of the 16 provinces (regions) of the republic. “These hospitals will be ready to receive patients from Monday,” he said.

At the same time, the minister acknowledged that sooner or later the number of infected would start to grow very quickly. But he urged citizens not to panic, not to attack shops, not to buy food. “We are now in a situation of threat of an epidemic,” he stressed, urging those sent to quarantine to adhere to this regime, and asked other citizens to stay at home whenever possible.

We add that the first death of COVID-19 was recorded in Poland.
