All employees are asked to adhere to measures imposed by the government. COVID-19 also affects exercises and missions. For example, it became clear today that the international exercise Defender Europe is being adapted in our country. The planned relocation of American units through the Netherlands is canceled.
Also the NATO winter exercise Cold Response 2020, with the Dutch contribution from Zr.Ms. Johan de Witt, has stopped. The Dutch training mission in Iraq is on pause, as a preventive measure at the request of the Iraqi and Kurdish authorities. Frisian Flag, one of the largest air defense exercises in Europe, will not take place.
