Koronoios: First case in the courts of former Evelpidon School – Athens Judicial Association demands disinfection and curtailment of activities
First case of coronavirus in the courts and in fact prosecution of first instance. Court clerk found positive in COVID – 19, as quoted in its urgent release Athens Association of Judicial Officers. In fact, the Association, in its announcement, calls for a number of measures as well as an amendment to the ministerial decision that defines how the courts operate.Specifically, in its announcement the Association of Judicial Officers of Athens demands:
1. To be done decontamination in all areas of the former Evelpidon School complex.2. Amend the Joint Ministerial Decision on the suspension of the functioning of the Judicial Services, so as to minimize the work that needs to be done, that is, only those which endanger human life.
Even with its unanimous decision, the Board of Directors of the Association calls “all judicial officers serving in the former Evelpidon School abstain from any work on Sunday, March 15 and Monday, March 16, 2020, for the sake of protecting their health».Finally, the Association communicates its announcement to the Minister of Justice, the President of the Supreme Court, the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, the President of the Association of Judges and Prosecutors, the President of the Bar Association of Athens and the President of the Hellenic Court of Justice.
