There were 604 examinations of Covid-19 suspects in the last day, confirmed in 11 people.
So far, a total of 2,144 investigations have been carried out in Latvia on pesons suspected of having Covid-19, and 71 cases of COVID-19 confirmed.

The government also decided on Saturday, March 17, to abolish international passenger transport through airports, ports, buses and rail, except for passenger transport by state aircraft and military transport.

The movement of persons and vehicles through airports, ports, rail and road crossing points at the external borders of the European Union, as well as at border crossing points for the purpose of local border traffic, with the exception of freight traffic, shall also be prohibited.
At the same time, Latvian nationals and foreigners having their permanent residence in Latvia are allowed to return to Latvia through the above mentioned border crossing points. Foreigners are also allowed to leave Latvia through them.
