ABN Amro wants to help clients with financial problems due to the corona virus with their mortgage or credit. The bank confirms this after reporting in De Telegraaf. According to a spokesperson, the bank will release the details before the end of the week.
It is not yet certain who exactly are eligible for the scheme and whether it concerns postponement or a remission. “These are people who are troubled by the coronavirus,” said the spokesperson. In De Telegraaf, CEO Kees van Dijkhuizen talks about “consumers with a zero-hour contract, self-employed workers or small entrepreneurs”.
