The first case of a coronavirus infection in the Volyn region was recorded in a seven-year-old girl. Her condition is satisfactory.

About it reports the press service of the Volyn Regional State Administration.

“Covid-19 was recorded in a 7-year-old child in Volyn region,” the message reads.

As noted in the ODA, on March 23, a mother with her baby went to a family doctor in the outpatient clinic. When examined, the child had a temperature of 37.2, cough, pulse oximetry (oxygen saturation) – 98%.

The child was given rapid tests for influenza A and B – the result is negative.

The family doctor decided to have a PCR screening test for Covid-19 in the baby and the parent. Biomaterials were immediately sent to a regional laboratory center.

In the evening of March 23, the girl’s temperature rose to 38.2, the next morning was 36.7, in the evening, 36.7.

On Tuesday, March 24, a positive PCR for Covid-19 in a baby was obtained.

Today, March 25, in the morning the temperature is 36.6, the child’s condition is satisfactory.

According to the standard of care the child does not need hospitalization, is observed by a family doctor. Little girl with parents isolated.

Work with contact persons is carried out, all of them will be subject to health surveillance and self-isolation is recommended.

As Ukrainian News reported, as of the morning of March 25, there were 113 cases of coronavirus disease in Ukraine.
