Ministry of Health named the cause of death of Orenburger infected with coronavirus


The cause of death of a 57-year-old resident of Buzuluk, who had previously been diagnosed with COVID-19, was a coronavirus infection and the resulting bilateral polysegmental pneumonia.

About it reported Ministry of Health of the Orenburg region following the results of postmortem autopsy. The victim also suffered from diabetes mellitus and chronic bronchitis. A complication was respiratory distress syndrome.

– An autopsy confirmed the clinical diagnosis. The family, which is isolated in the hospital, is being given psychological assistance, the department said.

Recall that this is the first case of death from coronavirus infection in the region. A resident of Buzuluk, who had previously been found to have a coronavirus, died this morning in the Orenburg Infectious Disease Hospital. Recently, a man with his family traveled to Europe. Upon returning, the Buzuluchan felt unwell and was hospitalized. Analysis of the virus, which was taken from members of his family, showed that the boy was infected with COVID-19.

Governor of the Orenburg Denis Pasler published Instagram appeal to Orenburgers. He assured that the family of the deceased will be assisted and urged residents of the region to observe the regime of self-isolation.

In addition, on Saturday two new cases of coronavirus infection in the region became known. COVID-19 was detected in a resident of Orsk – and the first examination yielded a negative result. The second confirmed case is contact on a family hearth in Buzuluk. The patient is healthy, has been isolated in the box of the infectious diseases hospital since March 17.

To date, six people have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection in the Orenburg region. Patients receive treatment in hospitals in isolated wards. The condition is stable, satisfactory.
