The international organization Global Citizen announced the broadcast on April 18 of an online concert of One World: Together At Home with the participation of world stars, whose fees will be used to support the fight against coronavirus. Announcement appeared on the organization’s website.
One of the organizers of the concert was named Lady Gaga. To date, the concert organizers have already raised $ 35 million. “The virtual concert will demonstrate unity among all people affected by COVID-19, as well as glorify and support the brave medical workers who are at the forefront of the struggle, who are doing an incredible and life-saving job.” – the message says.
During the concert, performances of such artists as Paul McCartney, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Billy Elish, Maluma, Green Day vocalist Billy Joe Armstrong and others will be shown. Broadcast will be conducted by American channels ABC, NBC, British BBC, Irish television channel RTE. Also, the broadcast can be seen on the platforms Alibaba, Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, Twitch, Twitter, Yahoo, YouTube and others.
According to Lady Gaga, show business has already raised about $ 35 million for the coronavirus fund under the auspices of WHO.
