The Ministry of Health told what complications caused by coronavirus most often die Ukrainians.
This was reported by the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health on a Facebook page.
“As a result of the complications caused by COVID-19, 98 people died, 79% of whom had severe cardiovascular disease, diabetes, tumors, kidney, lung, and obesity,” the report said.
In general, the proportion of diseases was (one or more):
- cardiovascular – 74%
- comorbidities – 29%
- diabetes mellitus – 22%
- lung diseases – 9%
- neoplasms – 8%
- kidney disease – 7%

They add to the health care center that the mortality rate is currently 2.9%.
“Eight people who died had a history of traveling abroad during the last 14 days before the onset of clinical symptoms and only in one case was close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19. Among the deceased, there were 7 medical workers. The average duration from the onset of symptoms the disease before death was 12 days. All of the patients who died had a positive result of a laboratory test by PCR, “the department said.
