An additional 566 patients died in Italy in the last 24 hours, with the death toll now reaching 20,465.

At the same time, 3,153 new cases were recorded and the total number of coronavirus cases in Italy is 159,516. At the same time, 35,435 people have been cured.

There are 3,260 patients in the intensive care unit and a total of 28,023 have been admitted to hospital. A home restraint of 72,333 has been decided.

In Lombardy the total number of cases is 60,134 and the death toll is 10,901. In Emilia Romagna the number of cases is 20,440, with the death toll reaching 2,615. In the Veneto region, there are 14,251 people living with the virus, with 882 dead.

The rate of transmission of the virus has decreased compared to yesterday (939 fewer cases) while the number of deaths is increasing again. Compared to the previous twenty-four hours, 135 more patients lost their lives. Admission to the intensive care unit (for the tenth consecutive day) continues to be limited, but hospital admissions have increased slightly. And the cured, today, are 453 less than yesterday.

This is by no means an emergency that can be compared to that of the last weeks of March, but these data show that from now on, crisis management (in terms of trying to return to everyday life) continues to require tremendous attention.
