Coronavirus found in Vinnytsia by factory workers who sewed protective suits for doctors

Seven workers were found at the Volodarka factory in Vinnitsa, which sewed protective clothing for doctors.

The mayor of Vinnytsia Serhiy Morgunov said this at a briefing on Friday, Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Speaking of Volodarka, the sewing of these 10,000 suits has already been completed. But I want to dwell separately because there are so many questions in the press. Unfortunately, a coronavirus was detected in one of the workers at Volodarka. And there, the regional laboratory center conducted PCR testing to all contact and potentially contact persons. More than two hundred tests were conducted and, unfortunately, seven confirmed cases were found, ”Morgunov said.

According to him, the factory was disinfected, and the company is now working in a regular mode.

As it was reported, the enterprise made protective suits for doctors at the request of Vinnitsa City Council.

According to CGD data, as of 9 am on April 24, 7 647 COVID-19 cases have been laboratory-confirmed in Ukraine. During April 23, 477 reports of new confirmed cases were received. As a result of the complications caused by the disease, 193 people died, including 99 men and 94 women. The deceased is dominated by persons aged 50 years (85%). 601 people have already recovered, 109 of them are physicians – a repeated laboratory study found no virus in the body.

In Vinnitsa region, 370 cases of coronavirus were recorded, 51 patients recovered.
