Petersburger attacked a doctor who came to a patient with COVID-19 – Russian newspaper


In St. Petersburg, a criminal case was opened against a 42-year-old local resident who attacked a team of ambulance doctors. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

The incident occurred the night before in one of the apartments of the house on Shpalernaya Street. Health workers assisted a 74-year-old woman. As an informed source told the Rossiyskaya Gazeta correspondent, the pensioner confirmed the diagnosis of COVID-19.

The 42-year-old son of the patient, while intoxicated, behaved aggressively towards doctors. According to the source, he tore off the mask from one of the doctors and tore off his protective suit.

In addition, an aggressive Petersburger threatened physicians with physical harm. At some point, he broke the glass part of the interior door and cut his hand. Police officers who received a message about the brawl took the attacker to a medical facility. A criminal case has been opened under the article “hooliganism”.
