The study is methodologically incorrect, said RBC a leading researcher at the Institute of Clinical Experimental Medicine, professor of virology Alexander Chepurnov. According to him, if we take the statistics on vitamin D in the country and the number of infected people, there are “many chances” for random coincidences.

World Health Organization (WHO) indicatesthat some studies have shown the ability of vitamin D to act on the immune system, as well as its protective effect against respiratory diseases.

RBC sent a request to the press service of WHO.
