In the United States, Covid-19-related deaths have risen 2,448 to 75,543 in the past 24 hours, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University on Thursday night.
The number of new deaths in the United States in each of the last three days has been more than twice as high as on Monday. There were 2,073 new deaths registered on Wednesday and 2,333 on Tuesday, but 1,015 new deaths were recorded on Monday, the lowest number in a single day in the last month.
According to Jones Hopkins University, the number of confirmed infections in the United States has risen to 1,254,750.
Among the countries in the world, the United States has the highest number of Covid-19-related deaths and the highest number of confirmed infections.
