Golubovskaya predicted an increase in the incidence of COVID-19 after May 12 – news on UNN

KIEV. May 11. UNN. Honored Doctor of Ukraine, infectious disease specialist Olga Golubovska admitted that after May 12, with the weakening of quarantine, the incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine is expected to increase. She said this in an interview with online magazine Vogue UA, reports UNN.

“No matter how you and I hide and no matter what measures are taken, the incidence rate will rise after May 12. I hope it is not critical – but I can only hope, because the disease has not been studied and is unknown. Two months have passed without a sharp peak incidence. and there is hope that there will be no critical figures in the future, “said Olga Golubovska.

She added that traditionally, summer is not a season of coronavirus infections.

“The seasonality of this infection is the same as that of the flu. By logic, the incidence should decrease in the summer, but in the fall we expect a second wave,” added Olga Golubovska.

We will remind, earlier the infectious disease specialist said that the second wave of epidemic of a coronavirus in Ukraine in the fall can appear more difficult, than the first.
