If CPVV is discovered, the situation with COVID-19 may be unpredictable.


On May 13, the situation at the entry-exit checkpoints in the Donetsk region remained calm and controlled.

This was announced at a press briefing in Kramatorsk by the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavel Kirilenko, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Kirilenko recalled that the “red” regime in the region continues. That is, only a person who has registration in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, as well as employees responsible for the life support of the region, can enter here.

A temporary ban on crossing the demarcation line remains valid.

“In the occupied territory there are far from single cases, according to our information, of COVID-19 diseases. However, the occupation authorities conceal such facts corny. And in the case of the opening of the CPVV, in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, the situation may be unpredictable, ”Kirilenko explained.

At the same time, he added that the passage through the CPVM could be allowed for good humanitarian reasons. Such decisions are made directly by the command Environmental protection in a special order.

As reported, in the Donbass, the free movement of citizens and vehicles through the KPVV was suspended in connection with anti-epidemic measures, as well as restrictions on entry and exit to the environmental protection zone were introduced.

As of May 13, 102 residents of Donetsk Oblast fell ill with COVID-19. Three patients died, 31 – recovered.
