The National Health Committee announced today that by midnight on Monday, six new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection had been reported in mainland China, up from seven the previous day.

Three of the six cases were “imported”, according to the Chinese Ministry of Health, when referring to travelers arriving in China from abroad having been infected by the coronavirus. All three were located in Inner Mongolia.

Of the three domestic transmission cases, two were found in the northeastern province of Jilin and one in Hubei, in the central part of the country, where the new corona first appeared in late December.

No new deaths were reported yesterday due to COVID-19, according to the Chinese Ministry of Health.

Officially, the coronation pandemic in the country where it started is estimated at 4,634 deaths due to COVID-19 out of a total of 82,961 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
