The Netherlands is slowly but surely coming out of the partial lockdown. Various measures are being eased slowly, but measures will continue to apply to prevent the further spread of the new corona virus in the Netherlands. - The number of corona deaths in the Netherlands has risen to 5,903

Update 07:06 – Hospitality turnover fell sharply in the first quarter due to the corona crisis
Hospitality turnover in the first quarter was 14 percent lower than a quarter earlier. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, the catering industry is therefore one of the most severely affected sectors due to the measures taken to prevent the spread of the corona virus. This is the first drop in turnover in seven years.
Sales and volume declined, especially in March, when strict lockdown measures, including catering closures, came into effect. Turnover from hotels and holiday parks and other accommodation providers fell by almost 15 percent in the first quarter of 2020 compared to the previous quarter.
Update 03:30 – Slaughterhouse Van Rooi Meat closed until June 2 due to corona infections
Slaughterhouse Van Rooi Meat in Helmond is ordered to remain closed until June 2 by order of the Brabant-Zuidoost Safety Region, after employees again tested positive for the corona virus. The Security Region announced this in the night from Thursday to Friday.
In the past week, the GGD Brabant-Zuidoost tested 130 of the approximately 1,700 Van Rooi Meat employees as a sample. Thursday evening, it became known that 21 of them are infected, the Security Region reports.
