The first converted restaurant is located in Moscow on the Arbat. In the future, the solutions that are applied in it are used in enterprises throughout the country. The changes will affect not only the service of guests at the tables, but also other forms of communication with customers (sales of food takeaways, MacDelivery and MacAuto).
So, in all restaurants there will be a partial restriction on entry, depending on the size of the room. The company applied special markings on the road surface outside the cafe in order to safely arrange the queue. An employee will be placed at the entrance, who will regulate the loading of the halls and open the front door for each guest to exclude additional visitor contact with the surface.
Inside, customers will be offered to sanitize their hands at a specially equipped station. Then guests will receive a locator with a table number at which they will wait for their order. In the reception area, between the kiosks for self-ordering and tables in restaurants, protective screens will be installed. Employees of the cafe will transfer the order contactlessly, placing it on a nearby unoccupied table.
McDonald’s restaurants have been temporarily closed in Russia since March 28 and work only on delivery and take-away in connection with measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. According to the plan of Rospotrebnadzor published in early May, Russian enterprises will quarantine in three stages, while catering will work on the latter. In Moscow, the regime of self-isolation will last until June 14.
