Following the lifting of restrictions on the coronavirus pandemic, the first teams of the Spanish championship, including both the Barcelona and Madrid Real, played their first training sessions on Monday.
It has already been reported that the Spanish Premier League has set June 11 as the date for the resumption of the season.
On Monday, the teams had the first opportunity to have a joint training, which means that there are only ten days to continue the season to achieve the best possible sports form.
It has been 82 days since the announcement of the season break.
On May 4, footballers were already allowed to conduct individual training, but two weeks later up to ten people could participate in the activities. A few days later, the trainings could already take place with the participation of 14 people.
Both leading national teams “Real” and “Barcelona” also held a full-fledged training on Monday. The Madriders reported on their website that the first training led by head coach Zinedin Zidana was very difficult.
After a difficult part of the training, the footballers continued to work both individually and in groups, working with the balls.
In order to end the season on July 19, the organizers of the championship have planned the games every day for five weeks. The Spanish government has allowed the football season to resume on June 8, but the first game will take place three days later, when Sevilla and Real Betis of Seville will meet in the city derby.
Barcelona will play their first game against Mallorca on June 13, and Real will host Eibar a day later.
After 27 games with 58 points, “Barcelona” leads the championship, but “Real” is two points less.
