TASHKENT, Jul 13 – RIA Novosti. The number of detected coronavirus infected in Uzbekistan over the past 24 hours increased by 487 and reached 13 193, the press service of the country’s ministry of health said on Monday.

The first case of COVID-19 in Uzbekistan was discovered on March 15. By Sunday, the number of registered cases was 12,706, 58 patients died, 7,723 recovered.

“As of July 13, 2020 10.00 (8.00 Moscow time) in Uzbekistan, the number of cases of coronavirus infection is 13 193,” the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

According to the agency, 487 new cases – this is the second largest indicator of the growth of cases per day from the detection of the first infected. On the eve it was reported about a new anti-record – 500 cases per day, and before that, this indicator increased daily from July 8.

Over the past day, three cases of death of patients with COVID-19 were also recorded, the total number of deaths from a pandemic in the country was 61 people.

According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of people recovering from coronavirus in Uzbekistan increased to 7852. On Sunday, 129 people were discharged from hospitals, on Saturday – 193, on Friday – 243. Now 5280 patients with COVID-19 are under treatment, including 43 – in serious condition, seven in extremely serious condition.

In Uzbekistan, due to the increase in the number of patients with COVID-19 from July 10 to August 1, traffic is again restricted, a self-isolation regime has been introduced for people over 65, and on the weekend for the entire population. The work of clothing markets, large retail stores, hairdressers, beauty salons, gyms, fitness clubs and pools was also suspended, kindergartens, catering facilities (except delivery services), motels, boarding houses, children’s camps and recreation areas were re-closed.

The country’s authorities extended the quarantine in the republic until August 1. All regions are divided into “zones” depending on the distribution of COVID-19 – “red”, the most dangerous, “yellow” and “green” free from the virus. At the same time, quarantine conditions began to soften at the end of April.
