199 people die in a day due to COVID-19 in Iran


Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, said that in the last 24 hours of the COVID-19 outbreak, 199 more people died and 2 388 new cases were detected.

Thus, Lari stated that the total loss of life from COVID-19 increased to 13 thousand 410 and the number of cases increased to 264 thousand 561.

Stating that 3 thousand 411 of the patients were in severe condition, Lari stated that 227 thousand 561 people who had completed their treatment until now were discharged.

Spokesman Lari shared that the total number of tests conducted in the country so far is 2 million 48 thousand 49.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health is also the “red zones” of East and West Azerbaijan, Islam, Bushehr, Rezevi Khorasani, Huzistan, Zencan, Kurdistan, Kirmanşah, Gülistan, Mazenderan and Hürmüzgan provinces, Tehran, Fars, Ardebil, Isfahan, Elburz, South Horasan, Sistan- Baluchistan, Kirman, Kohgiluye-Buyer Ahmed, Loristan, Hemedan, Yazd and Northern Horasan also stated that they are in the “risk areas” category.
