Swedish company IKEA, the world’s largest retailer of furniture and household goods, intends to open two additional pick-up points in Kiev, and is also doubling the capacity of its online store in Ukraine to meet demand.
“The company has more than doubled its ability to process orders made through the IKEA online store in Ukraine and is now able to meet demand both in Kiev and in other regions. Given the high interest in IKEA products, the company plans to continue investing in order processing capacity, ”the company said in a press release.
According to him, the company also intends to open two additional points for issuing orders in Kiev to reduce delivery times. At the same time, the address of the new points is not indicated in the message of the press service and on the IKEA website.
In addition, the company plans to open the first city-format store in Ukraine by the end of 2020. As previously confirmed by the company, a lease agreement has already been signed with the Blockbuster Mall shopping and entertainment center.
As reported, on May 14, IKEA officially launched the possibility of ordering goods from an online store in Ukraine, and also opened pick-up points in the Kiev shopping centers Auchan Rive Gauche and the Metro Cash & Carry shopping center.
