Texas announced 197 deaths and 10,893 new hospitalizations due to coronavirus yesterday, Wednesday, July 20, bringing it to the top of the list of the most affected US states by the pandemic. In fact a county was forced to store corpses in refrigerated trucks, while pushing a high-ranking official to ask for a lockdown.

Hildago County, in the southern part of the state near the border with Mexico, saw a 60% increase in the number of cases last week, according to a Reuters report, with the death toll doubling to more than 360.

The three most populous states in the US –Florida, Texas and Californiaare at the top of the list of 44 states where cases are on the rise, according to a Reuters analysis.

Disagreements over the opening of schools

Alongside more than 12,800 cases of coronavirus were recorded in California on Wednesday, a daily record. The state has now surpassed New York in a total number of cases, although in New York 32,000 deaths have been recorded, while in California 7,800.

American Airlines: The use of a mask becomes mandatory from July 29th

This new airline policy will require passengers to wear masks in all areas of airports from the time of arrival until the time of departure from the airport, while they will not be allowed to take off their masks until they reach the airport exit. American Airlines customers who do not comply with the measure will not be able to travel, for the period of application of the protection measure against the spread of COVID-19, as the company added.
