In the Kaliningrad region, a coronavirus was detected at the store cashier

Experts have identified COVID-19 at the cashier of a retail chain in the region. The Kaliningrad.Ru correspondent was informed about this in the regional operational headquarters to combat the spread of coronavirus.

In just a day, ten new cases of the disease were registered. Among them are two sailors who arrived from Namibia, two teachers of educational institutions, a food industry worker, two retirees, a patient sent to hospital, and a woman who had contact with the patient.

One of the infected had no symptoms, three were diagnosed with pneumonia, and six with ARVI. “For each case, contact was identified – 82 people, four of them have signs of respiratory disease,” the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,746 cases of coronavirus have been registered in the Kaliningrad region, 44 people have died. For the entire period, 113 672 local residents were examined, 378 remain under medical supervision.
