Record increase in coronavirus cases


According to the data of the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of global new Coronavirus cases recorded in the last 24 hours is 292,527.

The biggest increase was seen in the USA, Brazil, India and South Africa. Increased total loss of life in these four countries is 6.812.

WHO’s new case increase on July 24 was 284,196. On the same date, loss of life increased by 9,753.

According to WHO data, the average number of casualties was 5,200 in July. In June, the average number of casualties was 4,600 per day.

According to Johns Hopkins University data, the number of global daily cases was 674,038.

The country with the highest number of casualties due to Covid-19 is the USA with 152.074 deaths, and the second country with the highest casualties is Brazil with 91.263 deaths.

WHO also reviewed the pandemic’s last six months and warned that the effects of Covid-19 could be seen for decades.

The number of new cases in the last 982 days in Turkey

Spanish economy in trouble

The Spanish economy is also increasingly difficult. According to official data released on Friday, the country’s economy contracted by 18.5 percent in the second quarter.

The country shrank 5.2 percent in the first quarter.

Recession generally means that the gross domestic product of a country shrinks two consecutive quarters.

Among the sectors most affected in the country, the tourism and transportation sector, which shrank by 40 percent compared to the first quarter, is also included. The tourism sector shrank by 60 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

The measures launched in March in Spain started to loosen in May and June.

However, the number of cases in Spain has increased again recently. The 2,799 cases detected on July 30 were the largest number of cases in the country since May 11.

As the coronavirus outbreak brought economic and social life to a halt, gross domestic product in the euro area fell 12.1 percent in the second quarter compared to the first quarter.

Eurozone economy shrinks

Removal of restrictions in some places in the UK has been delayed

India grapples with nature disaster

India, where more than 35 thousand people died due to coronavirus, is also struggling with monsoon rains.

More than 300,000 people had to leave their homes in the country’s Bihar province due to monsoon rains.

While the World Health Organization advises countries to have one doctor per thousand people, this rate is 17 thousand in Bihar.

Elections postponed in Hong Kong
