No fewer than 1,075 new cases and 34 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, according to authorities’ report released on Sunday (August 2nd).

412 patients are admitted to ATI on Sunday, compared to 401, as many cases were reported to ATI on Saturday. On the other hand, in the last 24 hours, Arges county registered the highest number of new cases – 100 patients, more than Bucharest – 83 patients.The evolution of the diseases with the new coronavirus in the last week

On Saturday, August 1, the number of new cases of coronavirus reached 1,225, and the number of deaths was 35.

On Friday, July 31, the number of new cases of coronavirus was 1,295, and the number of deaths recorded in 24 hours reached 39.

On Thursday, July 30, the number of new cases of coronavirus was 1,356 for 24 hours, and the number of deaths was 35. At ATI there were 402 patients in serious condition.


On Wednesday, July 29, the number of new cases of coronavirus was 1,182 after performing 22,049 tests. Also during this period, 30 Romanians died due to COVID-19. At ATI there were 377 people in serious condition.On Tuesday, July 28, the Strategic Communication Group reported 1,151 illnesses and 33 deaths in 24 hours. The positive percentage was 5.44%, much lower than the previous day, 14.46%.

On Monday, July 27, 1,104 new cases and 19 deaths were reported in 24 hours, after performing only 7,633 tests.

Currently, Romania is on the 44th place in the world, in the number of infections, according to the data centralized on the platform worldometers.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been more than 17.7 million cases of embolism in the world. 683,491 people died due to COVID-19 worldwide.
