Despite the ongoing coronavirus epidemic, in the annexed Crimea, they want to hold school lines dedicated to September 1 in full-time mode. The Russian-controlled Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Crimea Valentina Lavrik reported at a meeting of the Russian government of the peninsula on 4 August.

According to her, the first lesson for children in grades 1-11 in Crimea will be dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory in World War II.

“The Day of Knowledge will take place on September 1, the first lesson will be devoted to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. For students in grades 1-11, a festive line and the first bell will be held. We plan to carry out the line in the open air, observing social distance, ”Lavrik said.

According to the data of the Russian-controlled authorities of the peninsula, as of August 4, 1323 cases of new coronavirus infection were registered in Crimea. 73 of them were imported from abroad, 109 cases were imported from neighboring Russia and identified through contact with them, 973 cases were detected when seeking medical help and contact with persons with laboratory-confirmed results, 168 – during laboratory screening of healthy individuals. Recovered over the entire period – 945 people.
