Governor of the Pskov region Mikhail Vedernikov announced a “significant decrease” in the incidence of coronavirus infection in the region compared to the previous week. Like he wrote today, August 4, on his page in Instagram, on weekdays, testing for COVID-19 in the Pskov region is being conducted in full force, while only four new cases were detected per day with 23 recovered. A day earlier, only one new case was confirmed.
“We are monitoring the situation, we will start discussing the third stage of restrictions as soon as it becomes possible,” Vedernikov noted.
According to the Pskov regional headquarters, a total of 3839 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded, 2,737 people recovered, 55 deaths were confirmed.
As before reported “DP”, the possibility of moving to the third stage of lifting restrictions has been discussed in the Pskov region since mid-July, when the situation with the spread of infection in the region began to improve. However, at the end of July, with another relaxation of restrictions in the region, they decided not to rush due to the identification of new foci of morbidity.
