Iran has a new “anti-record” – 2700 cases of COVID-19 per day


Iran has confirmed over 2,700 new cases of COVID-19 infection, the highest daily rate in the past month.

Ukrinform reports this with reference to AFP.

“In the last 24 hours, there have been 2,751 new confirmed cases,” said Health Ministry press secretary Sima Sadat Lari.

This is the highest index since June 5, when the country’s health ministry reported 2,886 infections in one day.

In addition, over the past 24 hours, 212 people have died, bringing the total number of victims of the disease in the country to 17,617.

As of the middle of the day on August 4, 18,483,347 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the world. 698 312 cases were fatal, 11 708 718 people recovered.
