On behalf of the Minister of Health of Russia Mikhail Murashko, a group of specialists from the department began work in the Republic of Abkhazia to assess the provision of medical care to patients with Covid-19. Oksana Guseva, Assistant to the Minister in charge of organizing medical care for the population, and Inna Kulikova, Director of the Department for Organization of Emergency Medical Aid and Health Risk Management of the Russian Ministry of Health, together with Deputy Minister of Health of the Krasnodar Territory Irina Vyazovskaya, visited the main hospital for patients with a new coronavirus infection in Gudauta, got acquainted with the routing patients, conducted a round in the “red” zone, assessed the stock of personal protective equipment and medicines.

On August 6, Russian engineers will start assembling and setting up a computed tomograph, which is scheduled to be put into operation in the second half of this month. In Sukhum, the Russian delegation inspected the work of the ambulance station, the cars of which are designed to evacuate those infected with the coronavirus, and also got acquainted with the organization of the work of the children’s clinic, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Abkhazia reports.

In an interview with Radio Sputnik Abkhazia, Oksana Guseva, Assistant to the Minister of Health of Russia, who oversees the organization of medical care for the population, spoke about the results of the inspection.

“We have no questions left. The most pleasant thing is that we communicate with colleagues in the same language, we understand each other perfectly. We have proposed interaction with our federal advisory and resuscitation centers for adults, children and pregnant women in the event of such patients … mutual understanding and full consensus, “said Oksana Guseva.
