At Feyenoord, Willem II and ADO Den Haag, players have tested positive for the corona virus. The three Eredivisionists do not disclose which players are involved.
Feyenoord reports on its own website on Saturday that the player in question will be quarantined, is temporarily not part of the match selection and will not participate in the group training sessions.
In the run-up to the first exhibition game in preparation for next season, Sunday in De Kuip against Sparta Rotterdam, all players of Feyenooord underwent a test. So one positive case emerged from this.
Trainer Dick Advocaat caused some commotion last Monday by saying that Feyenoord only tests if someone has complaints. The KNVB then said that testing is only mandatory two weeks before the start of the competition.
Previously positive tests at Willem II and ADO
Willem II reports on its own website that the player in question had no symptoms or complaints, has been quarantined and that his situation is closely monitored according to the protocol.
As a result, the practice match that Willem II would play in-house on Saturday at 3 p.m. against IJsselmeervogels has been canceled. IJsselmeervogels announced on Saturday morning that it did not want to travel to Tilburg.
ADO reports on its own website that the player in question has entered qurantaine, is left out of the match selection and group training and that his situation is continuously monitored.
Willem II and ADO Den Haag also recently tested a player positive for the corona virus. Even then both did not reveal the name, but according to it Brabants Dagblad Willem II was concerned with Elton Kabangu.
The corona virus is increasingly circulating at professional clubs in the Netherlands. Infections were also detected at an earlier stage at Ajax, (Jong) AZ, (Jong) FC Utrecht, Vitesse and PEC Zwolle.
