The condition of eight patients with coronavirus COVID-19 in the Donetsk region is assessed as grave, said Alexander Pedenko, deputy head of the organization and development of medical care for the population of the health department of the Donetsk regional state administration.
As the press service of the Regional State Administration reported on Tuesday, at a briefing in Kramatorsk, Pedenko recalled that since the beginning of the pandemic in Donetsk region, 993 people fell ill with COVID-19, 834 of them recovered, another 146 are continuing treatment. Thirteen cases of coronavirus disease have been fatal.
“At this hour, 87 people are receiving outpatient treatment and 48 people are in health care facilities and receive inpatient treatment. Eight have a serious condition. These people have pneumonia,” he said.
Pedenko stated that the region has satisfactory indicators for COVID-19, while the rate of increase in incidence is low. “There are now outbreaks of morbidity in local areas of the region. This, apparently, is due to the vacation season. While there was no import from outside, intraregional diseases are registered. It is not worth sounding the alarm. But this does not exclude compliance with quarantine measures,” he said.
