A pensioner from China was again diagnosed with COVID-19 six months after she recovered


A resident of the Chinese province of Hubei, who suffered a coronavirus infection six months ago, again tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Ukrinform, this is reported by Xinhua.

For the first time, a 68-year-old pensioner from Jingzhou city was diagnosed with coronavirus on 8 February. After several months of treatment, she recovered.

However, on August 9, the woman was again hospitalized due to poor health. She passed the coronavirus test, which turned out to be positive.

It is noted that the woman is now being treated in isolation. Everyone with whom she contacted has already passed tests for coronavirus – and no one has confirmed the infection.

As reported, according to the Worldometer portal, 20 million 744 thousand 741 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in the world, including 750 thousand 553 deaths. 13 million 586 thousand 174 people were cured.
