Lviv region is the leader in the number of hospitals for patients with Covid-19


The number of people in need of hospitalization is growing.

In the Lviv region, hospitals receiving patients with Covid-19 are slightly more than 53% full. This was stated by Minister Maxim Stepanov during the daily briefing of the Ministry of Health.

According to Maksym Stepanov, today Lviv region is a leader in the number of beds in certain hospitals. Also, about 48% of specialized hospitals are located in Kyiv and Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions, about 46% – in Rivne region. These are the regions where the number of infected people is growing the most.

In general, the occupancy rate of hospitals in Ukraine is about 24%, the minister said.

We will remind, in the Lviv region as of morning on August 12 166 new infected, from which 53 – in Lviv are revealed.

Today, 191 patients with coronavirus are treated at the Lviv Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital, 79 patients with 8 MCL, and 73 patients with 1 MCL. We will add that, as doctors told> earlier, such number of patients for these medical institutions is practically limit.

Another 117 patients with coronavirus are in the emergency room.
