1.55% of active cases of COVID-19 are in ATI. Specifically, out of the total of 31,322 active cases in Romania, 7,381 patients are hospitalized and 485 people are in ATI.

47.6% of those infected with SARS-VOC-2 have been declared cured so far (31,048 cured out of a total of 65,177 cases, 2,807 deaths and 31,322 active cases).

Romania has 146 deaths due to Coronavirus per million inhabitants, the 36th place in the world. Mortality rate 4.30% (2,807 deaths, in 65,177 total cases). The death toll reported in 24 hours was 50 (August 7, 2020).

3,391 cases of Coronavirus per million inhabitants, 66th in the world.

The highest number of new cases in 24 hours was 1,415 people declared positive (August 12, 2020).

A total of 1,427,626 tests were performed, which means 74,269 per million inhabitants.

7,026 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

In Romania, 15,494 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 10,970 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 39,900 people are in quarantine at home, and 214 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

1,415 new cases of illness in the last 24 hours.

Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 763 people were reconfirmed positively.

485 patients are hospitalized at ATI.

Between 11.08.2020 (10:00) – 12.08.2020 (10:00) were registered 43 deaths (25 men and 18 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Arad, Bacău, Bihor , Brașov, Buzău, Caraș – Severin, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Gorj, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Neamț, Prahova, Timiș, Vâlcea and Vrancea.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 20-29 years, 1 death in the age category 40-49 years, 4 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 15 deaths in the age category 60-69 years , 16 deaths in the age group 70-79 years and 6 deaths in the category over 80 years.

42 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, and for a deceased patient no comorbidities have been reported so far.

Total tests – 1,427,626. Of these, 22,607 were performed in the last 24 hours, 14,098 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 8,509 on request. Also, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 174 tests processed before the last 24 hours and submitted until August 12 have been reported.

Most cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection are in Bucharest – 7,779 and Suceava counties – 4,805 and Arges – 4,232 and Brasov – 3,752, informs, on Wednesday, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS).

There are over 2,000 cases in the counties of Prahova – 2,808, Galaţi – 2,662, Dâmboviţa – 2,444 and Vrancea – 2,120.

Also, 17 counties have over 1,000 cases reported so far – Arad, Bacau, Bihor, Botosani, Braila, Buzau, Cluj, Constanta, Dolj, Gorj, Hunedoara, Iasi, Ilfov, Mures, Neamt, Sibiu, Timis and Vaslui .

5,629 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,891 in Italy, 570 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,672 in Germany, 157 in the United Kingdom, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA , 111 in Austria, 19 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 18 in Greece, 2 in Cyprus and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Sweden, the Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 123 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil and one in the Republic of Congo, died.
