“We grow every day”

“Ukraine has another two anti-records. The first – 1732 people fell ill in a day… We again set an anti-record for hospitalization – for the past day 330 people were hospitalized,” said Health Minister Maxim Stepanov.

In Thursday, 19 people died of coronavirus disease, another 581 people recovered.

There are now 87,872 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ukraine.

2011 people died during the epidemic, 46,797 recovered.

So, only for the last days in the Odessa region found 160 cases of COVID-19, in the Kharkiv region – 205.

According to him, in the Lviv region more than half of the places in hospitals for coronavirus patients have already been filled. Kyiv, Chernivtsi, Rivne and Ivano-Frankivsk oblasts are approaching the same level.

New zones

The day before, the division of quarantine zones in Ukraine was renewed – several districts and cities in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne and Odesa oblasts were added to the “red zones”.

In areas with a red level of epidemiological danger, the following restrictions apply: public transport is prohibited, visiting educational institutions, the activities of shopping malls, cafes, restaurants, gyms, cinemas, crossings of such areas are possible only on their own transport, landing in interregional transport is prohibited, but disembarkation is allowed .

Stepanov added that the list of regions with a significant spread of COVID-19 includes the city of Kyiv, Volyn region, Zakarpattia region, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Lviv region, Odessa region, Rivne region, Ternopil region, Kharkiv region, Chernivtsi region.

“These are the areas in which the incidence rate was exceeded throughout the territory, 40 patients per 100 thousand population were detected in 14 days. Then in each of these regions were identified specific areas or cities in which different levels of danger were established,” he explained. Maxim Stepanov.

According to him, the capital of Ukraine, which was previously in the “green” zone, has moved to the “yellow” zone.

And on the territory of the whole Lviv region, except for Sambor, an “orange” level of epidemiological danger has been established.

Already on Friday, the minister explained that all zones are set for two weeks – “because during this period we can stabilize the situation.”

“Follow the rules that are set for the whole country,” the minister urged.

He also assured that all zones are established solely because of the situation with the coronavirus.

“That there was no political speculation,” Maxim Stepanov warned.
