Coronavirus was detected in frozen foods imported by China from Brazil. The authorities announced that coronavirus was detected in samples taken for testing from frozen chicken wings exported from Brazil to the city of Shenzhen, Longgang state. No information was shared about the brand whose coronavirus was detected.

Shenzhen health officials stated in a statement that people who came into contact with the products with the virus were detected and all tests performed were negative.

While the health officials announced that all the chicken wings were tested and sealed, they stated that all the products of the brand with the virus were monitored.

WHO SAYS ‘NON-HUMAN-TO-FOOD IS LOW POSSIBLE’

In the statements made by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it was stated that it is very unlikely that Covid-19 will pass from food or food packaging to humans.

On the other hand, coronavirus has been detected in the packages of food products imported in 7 regions in China so far.
