Finance Ministry Refuses to Extend Application Deadline for COVID-19 Disinfection Subsidy | News | News

The Ministry of Finance did not support the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to extend the deadline for accepting applications for subsidies for disinfection and prevention of coronavirus for businesses and socially oriented NGOs. About this “Izvestia” was told by two sources in the financial and economic block of the Cabinet. Earlier, the department prepared a draft government decree, which proposed to extend the deadline for accepting applications for a month, until September 15.

“The refusal of the Ministry of Finance means that the collection of applications will end tomorrow, August 15, and not everyone will have time to take advantage of this measure of support,” the source told Izvestia.

As of August 14, the business has submitted 362 thousand applications for 10.7 billion rubles. In total, the government allocated 20 billion to compensate for the costs of disinfection of coronavirus infection. Companies that have benefited from the support receive a one-time fixed subsidy of 15 thousand rubles, as well as 6.5 thousand for each employee.

Izvestia sent a request to the Ministry of Finance.

In Russia, as of August 14, 912,823 cases of coronavirus were detected. For the entire period of the pandemic, 15 498 deaths were recorded, 722 964 people recovered.
