Four regions are approaching 50% hospital occupancy through COVID-19


In four regions, the occupancy rate of hospitals designated for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 is already 50%.

According to a Ukrinform correspondent, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said this at a briefing on August 14.

“Lviv region continues to show bed occupancy of more than 50%. The city of Kyiv, Chernivtsi and Rivne regions is on the border of 50%. That is, those areas where we record a large number of patients and people who are hospitalized,” said Stepanov.

Thus, according to the Ministry of Health, for the last day the largest number of COVID-19 cases was registered in Kharkiv region – 205, Lviv region – 184, Odesa region – 160, Chernivtsi region – 154, Kyiv region – 158.

Also, 330 people were hospitalized during the day.

Of the 1,732 people who had laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 during the day, 110 were children and 78 were health workers. In total, 6,093 children and 9,570 health workers have fallen ill with COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported, on August 14, 87,872 cases of COVID-19 were laboratory confirmed in Ukraine, including 1,732 per day. -Frankivsk, Lviv, Odessa, Rivne, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Chernivtsi regions.

The red level of epidemic danger has been established in Horodenka and Kosiv districts of Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the city of Sambir in Lviv region, in the city of Bilyaivka in Odesa region, in Rivne region – in Kostopil and Rivne districts. Also, the red level was set in the Kitsman district of Chernivtsi region.
