In Moscow, the growth rate of new cases of COVID-19 in the first 2 weeks of August is 0.28%. This is reported by the operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus in Moscow.

It is noted that 688 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in the capital. The average daily growth rate of new cases in the first two weeks of August is 0.28%. This indicator is comparable to the first two weeks of July and is 70% lower than the June indicator. In accordance with the Rospotrebnadzor criteria, an indicator less than one indicates a stable epidemiological situation in the city. Despite an increase in coronavirus testing coverage, the number of new cases in Moscow remains low.

Among the newly diagnosed cases – 51.61% in people aged 18 to 45 years, 25.6% – from 46 to 65, 10% – from 66 to 79, another 5.2% – over 80 years old. Children make up 7.6%. All patients, as well as persons in close contact with them, are already under medical supervision.
