More than 21 million cases of coronavirus have been reported worldwide

As of the morning of August 14, there were more than 21 million cases of coronavirus in the world.

This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the site Worldometer.

As noted, a total of 21,068,344 cases of COVID-19, 757,440 – fatal, 13,917,952 people recovered. 1% or 64,499 patients in the world are in serious or critical condition.

Coronavirus has been reported in 213 countries and territories.

During the past 24hrs, 6,653 people have died from COVID-19 in the world.

The leaders in the number of patients with COVID-19 in world statistics are the United States (5,415,666), Brazil (3,229,621), India (2,459,613) and Russia (907,758).

Overnight, 10,732 new cases were reported, including 7,371 in Mexico and more than a thousand in Bolivia.

Also since the beginning of the new era, 723 people have died as a result of the coronavirus pandemic in the world, the largest number of them is in Mexico – 627.

As Ukrinform reported, as of August 13, 86,140 cases of COVID-19 were laboratory confirmed in Ukraine, of which 1,592 per day.
