On August 14, a new anti-record was recorded

A new anti-record was recorded in Ukraine for the number of cases of coronavirus COVID-19. Over the past day, 1,732 people fell ill in the country, and 581 patients recovered.

As of the morning of August 14, 2020, the Public Health Center (CPH) received 2,132 reports of suspected COVID-19.

By data The Ministry of Health, a total of 87,872 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine, of which 2011 were lethal, 46,797 patients recovered. 1 252 842 PCR tests were performed.

The coronavirus was discovered:

  • Vinnytsia region – 3129 cases;
  • Volyn region – 4529 cases;
  • Dnipropetrovsk region – 1658 cases;
  • Donetsk region – 1049 cases;
  • Zhytomyr region – 2333 cases;
  • Transcarpathian region – 6080 cases;
  • Zaporizhzhya region – 1038 cases;
  • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 6320 cases;
  • Kirovograd region – 739 cases;
  • Kiev – 10,160 cases;
  • Kiev region – 4429 cases;
  • Lviv region – 11 658 cases;
  • Luhansk region – 171 cases;
  • Nikolaev region – 770 cases;
  • Odessa region – 4732 cases;
  • Poltava region – 533 cases;
  • Rivne region – 7326 cases;
  • Sumy region – 783 cases;
  • Ternopil region – 3538 cases;
  • Kharkiv region – 5583 cases;
  • Kherson region – 290 cases;
  • Khmelnytsky region – 1514 cases;
  • Chernivtsi region – 7264 cases;
  • Cherkasy region – 1092 cases;
  • Chernihiv region – 1154 cases.

The previous anti-record incidence was recorded on August 13.

Context. On August 12, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted new changes to the adaptive quarantine. Now the incidence rate in the region will be determined by three indicators: bed occupancy, testing rate and the level of new diseases per 100 thousand people in 14 days.

The Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting continued adaptive quarantine in Ukraine until August 31. From August 1, the country will determine the level of epidemic danger in separate zones – in “green”, “yellow”, “orange” and “red”.
