Patriarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate Filaret (Denisenko) has recovered from coronavirus, the press service of the UOC-KP said on Wednesday.
“Patriarch of Kiev and All Russia-Ukraine Filaret has recovered from the disease. Patriarch Filaret received a negative test result for COVID-19, which indicates that the coronavirus has been overcome,” the message says.
He is feeling well, has been discharged from the hospital and is at his residence.
Soon, Patriarch Filaret will continue to work “for the good of the church” and will conduct divine services.
As reported, on September 4, it became known that the Patriarch of the UOC-KP Filaret was diagnosed with COVID-19, he was hospitalized. The patriarch’s condition at that time was assessed as satisfactory.
Filaret is 91 years old.
