In Ukraine, 3,584 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been recorded, which is an anti-record for the number of new patients per day. This was reported on September 17 in the press service of the Ministry of Health.

On September 17 (as of 9:00 am), 166,244 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine, of which 3,400 were fatal, and 73,913 patients recovered. 3,584 new cases were recorded during the day. A total of 1,955,211 PCR tests were performed. A total of 1,589 patients recovered during the day.

Currently, coronavirus disease is detected:

Vinnytsia region – 5,039 cases;
Volyn region – 6,593 cases;
Dnipropetrovsk region – 3,653 cases;
Donetsk region – 2,272 cases;
Zhytomyr region – 4,656 cases;
Transcarpathian region – 8,931 cases;
Zaporizhia region – 2,673 cases;
Ivano-Frankivsk region – 11,856 cases;
Kirovohrad region – 951 cases;
Kyiv – 18,449 cases;
Kyiv region – 7,342 cases;
Lviv region – 17,664 cases;
Luhansk region – 689 cases;
Mykolayiv region – 2,252 cases;
Odessa region – 10,602 cases;
Poltava region – 1,363 cases;
Rivne region – 10,797 cases;
Sumy region – 2,724 cases;
Ternopil region – 10,394 cases;
Kharkiv region – 13,915 cases;
Kherson region – 737 cases;
Khmelnytsky region – 4,198 cases;
Chernivtsi region – 12,640 cases;
Cherkasy region – 2,820 cases;
Chernihiv region – 3,034 cases.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts and the city of Sevastopol are missing.

The research was conducted by the virological reference laboratory of the Center for Public Health of Ukraine, as well as regional laboratories. As of the morning of September 17, 2020, the Center received 3,767 reports of suspicion of COVID-19. In total, since the beginning of 2020, 230,061 reports of suspicion of COVID-19 have been received.
