Former goalkeeper of Spartak and Krasnodar Andrei Dikan tested positive for coronavirus.
This was announced by the Kharkov club “Metal”, where 43-year-old Dikan now works as a goalkeeper coach.
– Two Metal players – midfielder Sergei Romanov and the team captain, forward Ruslan Fomin – felt unwell and were sent to take PCR tests. Unfortunately, both of the results were positive. At the moment, Romanov and Fomin are on self-isolation and in constant contact with the club doctors.
– FC Metal, taking care of the health of its employees, tested all other team members – football players, coaches and administrative staff for coronavirus. The results were negative for everyone, except for goalkeeping coach Andrei Dikan and midfielder Maxim Bagachansky. They also went to a two-week self-isolation provided for by the medical protocol and will not help the team this coming Saturday in Nikopol. FC Metal wishes everyone a speedy recovery! – said in the official statement of the club in the telegram channel.
In addition to Spartak and Krasnodar, Dikan in Russia defended the colors of SKA-Energia, Kuban and Terek (now Akhmat). After leaving Krasnodar in 2016, the footballer ended his career.
This season the Metal team plays in the second Ukrainian league. The club was established in the summer of 2020.
