In Romania, two deaths from a coronavirus have been confirmed.

“The first fatal cases of new coronavirus infection have been reported in Romania today,” the statement said.

The Strategic Communications Group announced that as of Sunday, 433 confirmed cases of coronavirus had been recorded in Romania, and announced the first two fatal cases.

The first deceased is a 67-year-old man who was diagnosed with the Covid-19 virus on March 18. The patient had a cancer. He has recently returned from France.

The second deceased was a 74-year-old man hospitalized the day before at a hospital for infectious diseases in Bucharest.

Of the 433 coronavirus patients in Romania, 64 have already been cured and discharged from hospitals.

On March 16, the country’s government declared a state of emergency.

As of the morning of March 22, SARS-CoV-2 was reported to have infected 307 280 people worldwide. In total, 13 049 died and another 92 376 people recovered.
